1. Introduction
Expense Lite is published by Planck Studio and is built to be offline-first and private. This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: your financial data stays on your device, and we do not run servers that store or analyze your transactions.
2. Data Stored On Your Device
- Transaction Data: Amounts, dates, categories, notes, and payment methods you enter are stored locally in a SQLite database inside the app's private storage.
- No Central Servers: We do not operate transaction servers. Your financial records are not uploaded, scraped, or synced to the cloud by default.
- Backups You Control: If you choose to create a backup, the backup file is created and stored where you decide (for example, your own Google Drive). You control it.
3. Local Storage & Security
Your data lives in the app's sandboxed storage, isolated from other apps on Android. You can add an optional PIN or biometric app lock for an extra layer of protection on your device.
4. Your Rights & Control
Because your data is local, you are always in control. You can export it, import it, or delete it at any time directly within the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local data from your device.
